摘要: Abstract Two separate aquifers have been identified in Chios Island. The first one, Nenita, is found the southern part of island and other Aghiasmata Aghia Markela, northern part, which characterized by high salinity waters. Chemical isotopic contents were used for investigation origin evolution thermal water sedimentary volcanic rocks, estimation mixing process between meteoric seawater involved deep geothermal systems evaluation aquifer temperature. hot borehole spring waters discharging Island, Greece, change composition from earth–alkaline–bicarbonate-type to alkaline-type chloride. chemical physical characteristics bicarbonate well show interaction Neocene rocks. In general, these as their mineralization increases Mg2+ increase. deuterium oxygen samples indicate a origin. Na+ Cl− ions dominate chemistry Eleni spring. This appears be mixture ground water. marine contribution this sample 80–89%. data Cl-rich springs island, suggest that they are fed mixed with local groundwater respectively. parent liquid either mad up (∼40%) arc-type magmatic (∼60%), did not exchange isotopes, or constituted (∼70%) (∼30%), experienced significant isotope exchange.
