摘要: New trends in the automation industry indicate that manufacturing companies can improve their response to constantly changing market demands for customized products by adopting design principles from Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) control and systems. With this goal mind, EU FP6 IST project Cross-layer infRAstructure Distributed smart Embedded devices (SOCRADES), researched creation of systems with distributed architectures, where Web Services (WS)s are pushed all way down device level. The results research allowed us expose functionality production equipment means WSs use them according SOA principles; however, it was found is necessary count a mechanism ensuring dynamic composition these on factory floor. It presumed agent-based technology has potential providing required level intelligence, if be properly combined This article describes specification WS-enabled Decision Support System (DSS) integrated set software agents. system presented here capable supporting orchestration exposed discrete In addition DSS specification, paper also introduces physical scenario which used test proposed system. developments were done within framework SOCRADES project.
