Serendipitous learning: Recognizing and fostering the potential of microblogging

摘要: This paper introduces the concept of serendipitous learning in context microblogging and discusses potential unplanned unexpected discoveries for learning. Serendipitous as a subset incidental refers to through gaining new insights, discovering unrevealed aspects recognizing seemingly unrelated connections. type can occur by chance by-product other activities like information browsing social status updates microblogs. It is argued that engaging an open network users frequently generating enhances possibilities discovery. The possible factors facilitating concludes with recommendations future research.
