Psychodynamic profile and reflective functioning in patients with bulimia nervosa.

摘要: Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to examine the general psychological functioning patients suffering from bulimia nervosa (BN) using Karolinska Psychodynamic Profile (KAPP). Furthermore, KAPP data and Reflective Functioning scale (RF), measuring ability mentalize, were combined in order differences alexithymia, impulse control affect regulation with high or low RF. Method Seventy BN interviewed both Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) which RF is coded. Differences scores analyzed. Results Most found have a personality structure within normal neurotic range ( n =50 70). had significantly lower on KAPP's alexithymia than score, demonstrating that poor mentalizing related alexithymia. Concurrently, showed problems coping aggressive affects according scores. Conclusion Although good capacities for describing their mental states, they still difficulties regulating emotions impulses these states. Significant outcome Among BN, less alexithymic patients. Limitations findings are limited by relatively small numbers participants especially subgroups, posing danger not finding as significant existing character pathology between groups.
