摘要: Abstract Pericardial effusion is an unusual complication of meningococcal meningitis in this modern era antibiotics, and to date only one case pericarditis without has been reported. Our patient presented as a cardiac tamponade unknown origin meningitis. Moreover, he survived the frequently fatal disseminated intravascular coagulation which occurred absence shock. Two weeks after onset myopericarditis, corticosteroids were administered for persistent pericardial effusion, with good response. Other cases treated are discussed.
