摘要: Diesel exhaust soot particles, consisting principally of a carbonaceous core and absorbed organic compounds, are ubiquitous contaminants the environment because widespread use diesel engines. Carbon black is produced in large quantities has many commercial uses around world. Because particle size both materials small, they readily inhaled deposited lung, giving rise to concern for induction lung cancer humans. Concern that exposure or carbon may cause human been heightened by finding long-term rats high concentrations either causes an increased incidence cancer. In this article, available data reviewed on as agents humans laboratory animals from perspective using assess risk. Current mechanistic pathogenesis induced reviewed. The mechanism tumor apparently unique high-level exposures, threshold relationship exists between induction. Furthermore, mice Syrian hamsters do not respond with tumors when exposed levels exhaust, suggesting response be rat, even at exposure. Thus, my opinion, rat level exposures should used assessing risk material. indicate will if these controlled low levels.
