摘要: The absorption spectrum of Na β‐naphtholate shows an increase in optical density at its long wavelength edge as a function temperature. However, fluorescence yield red‐edge effect: it decreases with temperature when excited anywhere the last band except edge, where no dependence upon is observed. When confined transparent ethylene‐glycol water glass low temperatures, peak shifted towards blue by ∼2000 cm−1. formation solvated electrons from 1S state was also found to be dependent excitation wavelength, being formed λexc>365 nm. various observations are interpreted terms mechanism which dissociated singlet prior solvent relaxation competition internal conversion fluorescent, relaxed level.
