An Exploration of Tie-Breaking for Microblog Retrieval

摘要: Microblog retrieval enables users to access relevant information from the huge number of tweets posted on social media. Since are different traditional documents, existing IR models might not be optimal choice for this problem. Tie-breaking has been recently proposed as a new way combining multiple signals. In paper, we focus studying potential approach in microblog and propose methods further improve performance. Experiment results show that these tie-breaking based can achieve comparable performance with top runs TREC track.
