摘要: Measurements of the spin dependence {ital n}-{ital p} elastic scatteing at E}{sub n}}=183 MeV have been carried out with polarized neutrons and protons. If charge symmetry holds, two analyzing powers A}{sub n}} p}} must be equal. The measured value {Delta}{ital A}=={ital n}}{minus}{ital p}}, averaged over angular range 82.2{degree}{le}{theta}{sub c.m.}{le}116.1{degree}, is (33.1{plus minus}5.9{plus minus}4.3){times}10{sup {minus}4}. This result represents clear evidence charge-symmetry violation in strong interaction. measurement agrees well predictions from meson-exchange theory when these include isospin mixing {rho}{sup 0} {omega}{sup mesons.
