摘要: Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC)-producing K. (KPC-Kp) is an emergent pathogen in healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). The aim of this study was to describe HAIs due KPC-Kp, as well identify mortality risk factors cancer patients. In patients diagnosed with KPC-Kp between January 2009 and July 2013, we evaluated only the first infection episode each patient, analyzing separately for treated ≥48 h at least one antimicrobial agent proven display vitro activity against KPC-Kp. We variables related malignancy, severity characteristics HAI, therapy. identified 83 30-day 57.8 % all 72.7 bacteremic infections.
