Element‐free Galerkin method for contact problems in metal forming analysis

摘要: The total Lagrangian formulation and implementation of the element‐free Galerkin method (EFG) is presented for analysis contact‐impact problems with large deformations simulation metal forming processes. An integration scheme based on stress points used, so no mesh needed. A simple but general contact searching algorithm used to treat interface an force presented. Numerical results Taylor bar impact are compared finite element solutions agree well. Solutions upsetting, extrusion metals material distortions given show effectiveness algorithm. In particular, EFG shown be more capable treating motions workpiece around corners punch than methods.
