摘要: Maintenance of the mitochondrial genome is a major challenge for cells, particularly as they begin to age. Although it established that organelles possess regular DNA repair pathways, many aspects these complex processes and their regulation remain be investigated. Mitochondrial transfection isolated in whole cells with customized synthesized contain defined lesions has wide prospects deciphering mechanisms physiological context. We document here strategies currently developed transfer interest into mitochondria. Methodologies mitochondria claim exploit protein import pathway or natural competence organelles, permeate membranes use conjugal from bacteria. Besides biolistics, which remains restricted yeast Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, nanocarriers fusion proteins have been explored methods target custom intact cells. In further approaches, transferred recipient Repair failure error-prone leads mutations potentially could rescued by allotopic expression proteins.
