摘要: The Waigang River, a major tributary of Qinhuai river systems in the Nanjing city, China, had suffered long-time pollution due to lack management. Restoration was commenced from April, 2006. Four Ecological Areas and 10 Surface Carriers were constructed water hyacinth cultivated for phytoremediation. Chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids (TSS), phosphorus (TP), nitrogen (TN), NH3-N, diaphaneity variation phytoplankton investigated. After 9 months restoration, TSS, COD, TN, TP NH3-N decreased evidently. Diaphaneity enhanced 23cm July 120 cm December even 160cm some areas. Diversity which destroyed by extreme improved improvement quality. Cyanobacteria burst up August dropped subsequently. Proportion Bacillariophyceae Chlorophyceae all algae increased, but amount exhibited falling trend during process Our results showed that cultured could be applied remediation heavily polluted also reflected changing
