摘要: Graft copolymerization of acrylic acid (AA) on to styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) is carried out via free radical polymerization using benzoyl peroxide (BPO) as initiator. yield (GY) and graft efficiency (GE) measurements reveal that the optimum grafting achieved when 100 wt % AA 3 wt % BPO are used for a reaction time 6 h at 60 °C. The execution process confirmed through ATR-IR spectroscopy DMTA analysis. Tan δ thermograms indicate occurs in segments SBR backbone. An situ polymerized, semicrystalline polyurethane (PU) then prepare series SBR-g-PAA/PU blends. It found SBR-g-PAA with highest GY exhibits best compatibility PU matrix. One-phase morphology (SEM), well appearance only one glass transition (DMTA) verify homogeneous miscibility modified blend compositions. Moreover, integration PUs crystalline structure into blends gives rise elongation-induced crystallinity prominent phenomenon tensile testing, which proves synchronously enhance strength, modulus, elongation break, toughness. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
