摘要: PURPOSE: Women undergoing Ileal pouch-anal anastomosis (IPAA) are frequently within reproductive years and eager to bear children. Management issues have been raised regarding the effects of pregnancy delivery on pouch, particularly with respect obstetric care. Our experience is updated search for delayed sequelae establish whether other factors an adverse effect pouch function. These results also compared outcome in patients ileostomy or Kock pouch. METHODS: Records 43 women who had a successful following IPAA were reviewed, including 8 more than 1 pregnancy. RESULTS: Pregnancy was generally well tolerated, complications being managed nonoperatively. Stool frequency (P<0.01), incontinence pad usage (P<0.05; sign rank test) significantly increased during pregnancy, but prepregnancy function restored delivery. Vaginal delivery, multiple births, length labor, birth weight no permanent subsequent Longer follow-up after vaginal (mean, 2.4 years) demonstrated compromise CONCLUSIONS: Incidence pouch-related compares favorably incidence Operative rate 0 percent 9 19 The cesarean section higher those this may be caused by uncertainty about how manage IPAA. childbirth tolerated IPAA, lower complication Type should influenced considerations, avoided noncompliant, rigid perineum.
