The fractional chain yield of 126Sb in thermal-neutron fission of 235U

摘要: Abstract The fractional chain yield of 12·5 day 126 g Sb in thermal-neutron fission 235 U has been measured by following the β-decay antimony samples separated several weeks after an irradiation. observed is sum contributions from produced and that resulting 19 min m Sb, which decays 15 per cent isometric transition. was not observed, but its independent relative to estimated on basis theoretical calculations took into account spins, 5 + 8−, upper lower isomers, respectively. yields isomers determined as (4·5 ± 0·6) × 10 −2 , leading a value most-probable charge, Z p for A = 49·45 0·05. By γ-ray spectrometry samples, 60·9 124 2·78 year 125 Sb. ≤ 2·6 −3 gives 48·75 124.
