Effect of crust and seed hydro-alcoholic and aqueous extracts and pulp hydro-alcoholic extract of Citrullus colocynthis on glucose, insulin and FIRI level in insulin resistant male rat’s

摘要: Aims: The most common use of Citrullus colocynthis is to treat diabetes and decrease blood glucose in Iranian traditional medicine. Due the effects fructose on increasing creating insulin resistant (IR) models, this study aimed compare effect different parts extract male rats. Methods: In experimental study, 63 adult Wistar rats were used. After making IR with 10% induced drinking water for 8 weeks, animals divided into 7 (control, sham, aqueous hydro-alcoholic extracts crust seed pulp) groups. separation serums, glucose, resistance index measured. results statistically analyzed by ANOVA post hoc LSD tests. Results: Hydro-alcoholic increased comparison control group (p<0.05). Glucose level was decreased sham Weight (p<0.01) (p<0.05) leads decreasing seed’s group, compared (p<0.01). Insulin (p<0.001) Conclusion: effective part treatment type II harmful crust.
