摘要: Distribution data on beaver populations thriving in central Poland are common. We modelled population viability to assess the current status and threats 135-km-long section of Vistula valley. simulated different densities expanding evaluated three most significant scenarios potential developments valley with LARCH habitat model. The model output indicated higher vulnerability low density same environmental changes. At present, suitable habitats sustain a large minimum viable as part one sustainable network. Hypothetical construction two dams removal riparian forests within dykes would lead toa 25% reduction size. In contrast, river renaturalisation increase numbers by 42%. Based trends we conclude that scenario analysis is beneficial helping evaluate future management decisions.
