摘要: The reduced behavior for exploration of volumetric data based on the virtual sectioning concept was compared with free scanning at use StickGrip linkage-free haptic device. Profiles surface were simulated through penholder displacements in relation to pen tip stylus. One or two geometric shapes (cylinder, trapezoidal prism, ball, and torus) their halves ripple surfacewere explored absence visual feedback. In scanning, person physicallymoved parallel cross-sectional profiles generated automatically starting fromthe location indicated by Analysis performance 18 subjects demonstrated that new visualization technique allowed create accurate mental images, recognize identify shapes. mean number errors about 2.5% scanningmode 1.9% 1.5% playback velocity 28 mm/s 42 mm/s, respectively.
