摘要: We have developed a fast detector using stacked avalanche photodiodes (APDs) for x-ray diffraction experiments with synchrotron radiation. This has four independent channels of APDs, and the efficiency reached 55% in all 16.53 keV x rays. Since dead time counting system is shorter than 4 ns, output rates up to 4.5×108 counts/s been obtained The dynamic range more 1010 multibunch mode storage ring. Pulse-height measurements at 108 counts/s were successfully carried out by sequential single-channel discrimination.
