摘要: Abstract Torrefaction of a macroalga Laminaria japonica , representative macroalga, was carried out in fixed-bed tubular reactor under nitrogen atmosphere at 423 to 573 K. Three useful findings were obtained for torrefaction L. from this study. Firstly, the major reaction microalga may be decomposition alginate, while torreterrestrial biomass is known hemicellulose. Even so, H/C vs. O/C (so-called van Krevelen plot) showed similar trend between and terrestrial biomass. Secondly, an extremely low temperature effective obtain satisfactory energy yield torrefied macroalga. Thirdly, ash, sulfur can considerably eliminated by torrefaction.
