摘要: Dielectric and electro-optical properties of liquid crystal (LC) dispersions exhibiting two different surface anchoring conditions at the polymer–LC interface are investigated. The confining was tuned by changing side chains polymeric matrix in order to get either planar or homeotropic and, turn, bipolar radial LC droplets, respectively. In low frequency region dielectric spectra, exhibit a broad absorption domain, which has been assigned depolarization field effect (Maxwell–Wagner–Sillars (MWS) mechanism). strength relaxation MWS process closely related geometry confined phase. case electrical conductivity dominates whereas for droplets capacitive effects predominant. From (EO) measurements numerical simulations electric inside it is shown that enhanced EO performances compared their counterparts. Based on simple topological electrodynamic approaches, this phenomenon spatial distribution charges droplets.
