摘要: Intensive search through the literature on tumors of spinal cord reveals a surprisingly incomplete knowledge various pathologic types intramedullary lesions in relation to surgical treatment and postoperative course. It is purpose this paper present as complete an analysis possible 68 consecutive cases which operation was performed at University Hospital between 1925 1943. In 35 these lesion tumor verified by diagnosis; 4 tissue for histopathologic study not obtained, 5 hemangiomatous tumor, presenting both extramedullary characteristics, observed. clinical diagnosis without confirmation operation, 20 syringomyelia present. We have been able make follow-up observations date, until death or periods longer than one year
