Production and characterization of polymer nanocomposite with aligned single wall carbon nanotubes

摘要: Abstract We reported a simple method to fabricate polymer nanocomposites with single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) having exceptional alignment and improved mechanical properties. The composite films were fabricated by casting suspension of single walled in solution thermoplastic polyurethane tetrahydrofuran. orientation as well dispersion was determined scanning electron microscopy, transmission microscopy polarized Raman spectroscopy. macroscopic probably results from solvent–polymer interaction induced soft segment chain during swelling moisture curing. tensile behavior the aligned nanotube film also studied. At 0.5 wt.% loading, 1.9-fold increase Young's modulus achieved.
