Early management of class II division 2 malocclusion. Literature review

摘要: This paper presents the most relevantinformation about class II division 2malocclusion (II / 2) described in literatureand different treatment options basedon orthopedics. Class malocclusion ischaracterized by mandibular retrognathismand or prognathic maxillary which couldaffect molar relationship and consideringthe dental component is subdividedinto Type 1, characterized vestibularinclination of all upper incisors 2with central retroclined andvestibularized lateral incisors. It presentsmultifactorial etiology. As reported theliterature, incidence malocclusionClass 2 ranges from 3-12%. characterizedby vertical, transverse,facial, skeletal features thatdifferentiate it other malocclusions,and thus make decisions on time. Therefore,early this type malocclusion,can reduce possibility surgery, minimizethe severity alteration stomatologicalsystem functions improvethe overall appearance patient. Thegoals are directed transverselyperforming expansion to allowcorrection axial inclinationof solve dentalcrowding, leading a classII for further advancement.
