摘要: The gene encoding a 45-kDa protein (45K) of Chlamydia trachomatis serovar F was cloned, sequenced, and overexpressed in Escherichia coli. Alignment the deduced peptide sequence with E. coli elongation factor Tu (EF-Tu) demonstrated 69% identity. 45K recognized by genus-specific monoclonal antibody GP-45 cross-reacted monospecific polyclonal to EF-Tu. Purified recombinant has capability bind GDP, binding enhanced presence Ts (EF-Ts). GDP specifically inhibited GP-45. These data suggest that is chlamydial EF-Tu, it forms functional complex EF-Ts protein.
