摘要: In the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as in other eukaryotes non-polar lipids are a reservoir of energy and building blocks for membrane lipid synthesis. The lipids, triacylglycerols (TG) steryl esters (SE) stored so-called particles/droplets (LP) biologically inert form fatty acids sterols. To understand LP structure function more detail we investigated molecular equipment this compartment making use mass spectrometric analysis (TG, SE, phospholipids) proteins. We addressed question whether or not protein composition influence each performed analyses from cells grown on two different carbon sources, glucose oleate. Growth oleate caused dramatic cellular changes including accumulation TG at expense enhanced amount glycerophospholipids strongly increased degree unsaturation all classes. Most interestingly, source led to adaptation proteome resulting appearance several novel Localization these new proteins was confirmed by cell fractionation. Proteomes variants oleate, respectively, were compared discussed with emphasis groups detected through analysis. summary, demonstrate flexibility lipidome ability adapt environmental changes.
