A sensitive electrochemical nitrate sensor based on polypyrrole coated palladium nanoclusters

摘要: Abstract This study examines the synthesis and characterization of polypyrrole coated palladium nanocluster (Pd NCs-PPy) composites their application in nitrate detection at pH = 7.0. The was performed via direct reduction an aqueous solution Pd (CH 3 COO) 2 presence pyrrole monomers NaOH. X-ray diffraction field emission scanning electron microscopy observations showed that cations were completely reduced to with formation NCs-PPy cluster morphology, respectively. Electrochemical properties electrode studied by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), cyclic electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. From DPV results, estimated limit detection, quantification (S/N = 3) for two linear segments (lower higher concentration nitrate) are 0.7444, 2.4815 0.4535, 1.5117 μM, sensitivity these is 0.124 0.204 μA μM −1  cm −2 , Results from reproducibility experiments show feasible quantitative determination certain ranges nitrate.
