摘要: Twenty chickpea genotypes were grown under rainout shelter to investigate the influence of water stress treatments imposed at varied growth stages; T1; Control, T2; One pre-sowing irrigation, T3; withholding irrigation flower-initiation, T4; pod-initiation stage. The plant height, branches, dry weight stem, leaves and root plant-1, leaf area, area index recorded 120 days after sowing (DAS) which showed significant variation with stages. maximum reduction in height branches was observed when restricted T2 Restricted decreased biomass roots leading reduced as well. yield traits viz. 100 seed weight, total number pods, percentage filled pods significantly stress. grain conditions by 40.50 55.91% over irrigated control T4 T2, respectively. Among tested genotypes, GL28151, RSG963, PDG3 maintained higher growth, showing their tolerance stress, while GL22044, RSG1861 RVSSG4 adversely affected most well.   Key words: Water chickpea, traits, yield.
