摘要: Abstract An attempt is made to interpret the horizontal ‘drift velocities’ observed in ionospheric fading-wave experiments by examining statistically fluctuations space and time of density ions electrons. The ionization assumed be convicted a turbulent flow neutral air, but magnetic field dynamo electric are also taken into account. drift velocity calculated defined means space-time correlation function. For D region lower E region, estimation this found mathematically practicable, using certain assumptions. Results obtained which show relative importance mean aerodynamic determining irregularities electron density. higher regions, theoretical problem much less tractable, for reasons discussed here; it pointed out that case unlikely irregular behaviour can ascribed turbulence any...
