摘要: Red light-enhanced pelletability of phytochrome was observed in extracts all 11 plants tested: Avena sativa L., Secale cereale Zea mays Cucurbita pepo Sinapis alba Pisum sativum Helianthus anuus Raphanus sativus Glycine max (L.) Merr., Phaseolus vulgaris and Lupinus albus L. This enhanced following situ irradiation (in vivo binding) but only after crude vitro binding). In binding not strongly dependent upon pH and, with few exceptions, markedly sensitive to high salt concentration, whereas completely reversed by both concentration. However, phenomena were a divalent cation the extract buffer. further characterized using which showed an increase from less than 10% dark control more 60% red light-irradiated shoots. The half-life for 40 seconds at 0.5 C temperature-dependent, being complete within 5 10 sec 22 C. If pelletable far red-absorbing form photoconverted back situ, released condition 25 minutes 100 13 3 No cooperativity respect phytochrome-far observed.
