摘要: Calcium ions (Ca2+) play a pivotal role in musde contraction that they regulate events result excitation-contraction coupling. The concept has emerged signaling at the membrane of arteries and veins—for example, by receptor stimulation depolarization—leads to decrease approx 10,000-fold electrochemical gradient for Ca2+, ostensibly increasing permeability extracellular Ca2+ mobilizing intracellular stores Ca2+. 1-3 mechanisms whereby activation voltage, receptor, stretch-operated channels lead entry Cat+ is discussed elsewhere this volume, as electrical coupling vascular smooth-muscle cells. In chapter we discuss recently obtained evidence on regulation sensitivity based primarily preparations may not be representative resistance arteries. 4,5 Although specialization such neurovascular transmission, 6 altered pharmacology, 7 mechanical myogenic characteristics 8 transmitter release 9 occurs diminishing size, it remains determined whether regulating tone are also differentially regulated
