摘要: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common lethal autosomal inherited disorder affecting Caucasian populations. Due to improved treatments and multidisciplinary team care, life expectancy of patients with CF has increased dramatically in last 2 decades. Medical therapy for majority consists regular sputum clearance, mucolytic therapy, antibiotics, pancreatic enzyme replacement, nutritional support, anti-inflammatory agents such as azithromycin. Review by complementary alternative medicine (CAM) therapists utilization CAM medicines people healthcare practitioners should encourage discussion their about use therapies. Data date on effectiveness are limited; therefore, adequately powered carefully designed studies required enhance knowledge correct role Collaborations between academic centers established evaluate therapies researchers would provide excellent opportunity study CAM.
