摘要: • The postphlebitic syndrome is a common affliction with limited therapeutic options. Patients who fail to respond treatment graded elastic compression stockings often develop chronic pain manifested by intractable and swelling. Because lymphedema, condition also associated leg swelling, has been successfully treated intermittent compressive therapy an extremity pump, we conducted pilot study of in patients severe syndrome. All five studied had dramatic improvement symptoms functional status without side effects. Although large randomized trial needed properly evaluate therapy, it appears be very effective selected patients. ( Arch Intern Med. 1989;149:1651-1652)
