摘要: Abstract This work evaluates the effects of different concentrations Hibiscus sabdariffa flower (Jamaica) extracts on green synthesis zinc oxide (ZnO), for photocatalytic degradation methylene blue (MB). Zinc nitrate is used ZnO as a source ions. Extracts 1%, 4% and 8% (% weight-volume) sabdariffa, in an aqueous medium, were reducing stabilizing agents. In FTIR characterization, Zn O bond was observed at 618 cm−1. By means XRD, material to have hexagonal crystalline phase (Wurzite). Through XPS, energy values 1022 eV 531 eV observed, showing chemical state Zn+2. The morphology nanoparticles (NPs) varies its semicircular shape size distributions depending extract used, which range from 30 8 nm. band gap decreased 2.96 2.77 eV concentration increased. These materials presented good activity, degrading 97% MB 150 min, are efficient results comparable NPs synthesized via other methods.
