摘要: The purpose of this book is to provide a comparative political ecological study exurbia. Our analytical focus throughout the has been dynamics competing rural capitalisms in exurbanizing landscapes United States and Australia. As cases illustrate, exurban transition appears at different times places, ranging from South Carolina Lowcountry Cascade Mountains western Washington State tablelands southeastern Australia, we have highlighted surprising range similarities economics, actors, ideologies, responses, through undertaking ecology.
