摘要: For the past 20 years, Latin American countries have gone from being a low-cost region to significant players in world economy, with five of its ranked among world’s 50th largest by gross domestic product. This paper aims study contribution researchers field supply chain management (SCM) aid an understanding impact within global chains (SCs).,The authors present which includes bibliometric analysis papers authored SCM and were exclusively published journals included Journal Citation Reports. In addition, conducted survey consultants gain greater main difficulties, their opinion, negatively affected area America identify possible misalignment between research challenges for SC region.,The results show that on nine years is not considering number papers, citations top journals. Another interesting finding lack collaboration different countries, as well corporate. Finally, reveal differences regarding difficulties each country perceived relevant.,Comparing both analyses, relevant misalignments stand out detected. These suggest challenging opportunity America, emphasizing need increase scientific community, through alignment toward overcoming most troublesome America. Therefore, future regional directions could also help companies tackle faced optimize performance SCs.,To best authors’ knowledge, no previous quality has been conducted.
