摘要: An electrochemical cell was fabricated and used for in situ ellipsometry studies of the carbon/electrolyte interface during potential cycling nonaqueous electrolytes. The initial were conducted on smooth carbon films obtained by pyrolysis a positive photoresist wafer at . film + ethylene carbonate‐dimethyl carbonate scanned from open circuit to , parameters Δ Ψ recorded. Detectable changes Φ occurred potentials near where large cathodic current observed. These attributed formation solid electrolyte (SEI) layer. Subsequent scans between showed no significant change or current‐potential profiles, indicative an SEI layer which remained unchanged. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements indicated that major elements present surface.
