Summary Role of β-carotene and vitamin in bovine reproduction: review Faced with the suspect free radicals formation organism can have negative influence reproduction be one multiple causes dairy cattle reproductive efficiency decrease last years, this study we make an extensive literature about possible good effects two antioxidants, its s-carotene, on aim analyse therapeutic possibilities. In accordance results, observe that processes there is important may damage system cells, including gametes embryos, it some like failures oocyte maturation process early embryo growth, move to failure. Nevertheless, under normal conditions, keeps balance between antioxidants. This prevents problems occurrence, therefore when broken, as result low antioxidants levels diet, increase demand heat-stress, elevated rate production or several treatments increases organs activity (superovulation); all cases appear necessary exogenous supplementation.
