Effect of Shift Work on the Frequency of Depression in Nursing Staff of Yazd University of Medical Sciences

摘要: Introduction: Depression as a disorder is relatively common in all societies; several factors are involved depression development, that shift work one of these factors. This study compared the frequency different shifts nurses hospitals Yazd University medical sciences. Materials & Methods: descriptive analytical study. Based on statistical methods, 150 participated this The research tool was questionnaire included 15 personal questions and 21 related to Beck test. results were analysed by SPSS software. Results: 13.3% subjects males 86.7% females. Results showed that, there no significant relationship between gender, education, type job, employment status satisfaction levels income with depression. Marital (P-Value = 0.009 F 6.93), (day working work) 0.032 1.11), job 0.000 7.641) employer 0.001 5.414) significantly associated 3.49% normal status, 7.26% had mild depression, 3.9% required consultation psychiatrist,% 7.8% suffered from moderate 75.4% severe 3.1% very Conclusion: It seems can not cause alone, but result interaction
