摘要: Summary The relation between the vertical and horizontal slownesses, better known as dispersion relation, for a transversely isotropic media with titled symmetry axis (TTI) requires solving quartic polynomial, which does not admit practical explicit solution to be used, example, in downward continuation. Using combination of perturbation theory respect anelliptic parameter Shanks transform improve accuracy expansion, we develop an formula that is highly accurate all purposes. It also reveals some insights into anisotropy dependency including low impact has on placement reflectors small tilt angle.
