The 5a1−1 photoionization of oriented CF3I molecules: Angular distributions of the ka1 and ke photoelectron continua

摘要: Molecule-frame photoelectron angular distributions are obtained by the measurement of electron–ion recoil vector correlations in dissociative 5a1−1 photoionization CF3I. The laboratory frame orientation an ionized molecule is inferred from CF3+ fragment ion direction and contributions radiation polarized perpendicular parallel to molecular axis can be estimated. This allows degenerate ka1 ke continua distinguished, each having a distinctive distribution. Experimental data compared with calculated fixed-molecule distributions.
