摘要: Abstract Disinhibited activity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical (HPA) neuroendocrine system, characterized most specifically by abnormal responses to dexamethasone suppression test (DST), is observed in 40–50% patients with endogenous depression. The heterogeneity depressives respect this marker so far unexplained. A recent report from Iowa suggested that genetic factors could account for heterogeneity, since DST were found widely differing frequencies among primary unipolar subtyped criteria Winokur. We studied 14 delusional Abnormal 79% entire group, and similar each Winokur subtypes. In particular, five six (83%) depression spectrum disease had results. This contrasts a frequency 4% reported group. conclude disinhibited HPA does occur when present. Our results those study both be consistent threshold model activation. high positive may determined central pain mechanisms. Variations clinical dimension, combined variations activation mechanisms, depressives.
