摘要: An attempt is made (l) to isolate the critical variables, and (2) specify behavioral processes principles by which these variables operate produce opiate use, addiction, relapse. The analysis an extension of “differential association-reinforcement” theory, presented previously in this journal, drug use-addiction-relapse process. describes how positive negative reinforcement, both physiological social, generate use. Addiction analyzed as escape-avoidance behavior maintained principally nonsocial, reinforcement withdrawal alleviation. Various problems successfully extinguishing are seen be responsible for phenomenon addiction
