摘要: Cold samples of oxygen molecules in supersonic beams have been decelerated from initial velocities 390 and 450 m s−1 to final the range between 150 280 using a 90-stage Zeeman decelerator. (2 + 1) resonance-enhanced-multiphoton-ionization (REMPI) spectra 3sσ g 3Π (C) two-photon transition O2 recorded characterize state selectivity deceleration process. The molecular sample was found consist exclusively J ′′ = 2 spin–rotational component X ground O2. Measurements REMPI linearly polarized laser radiation with polarization vector parallel decelerator axis, thus magnetic-field solenoids, further showed that only magnetic sublevel N′′ = 1, level is populated sample, which therefore characterized by fully oriented total-angular-momentum vector.
