摘要: The objective of this paper is to report a feasibility study on the use optical fibre and surface plasmon resonance (SPR) for determining detergent efficiency. concept presented comprises miniaturised dip-sensor enabling automated on-line testing. In way, effect formulation, concentration temperature cleaning behavior various surfactants commercial cleaners investigated. For purpose, decladded core an was sputtered with gold afterwards coated defined layers stearic acid or animal fat obtain kind model soil. deposition performed using Langmuir–Blodgett through, sensor followed respective monolayers by UV/VIS spectroscopy, appearing as distinct constant shift in wavelength. Moreover, functional coatings were applied above layer achieve variation hydrophilicity surface. SPR proved be easy use, accurate flexible. It offers new solution that could replace existing methods detergency sensing customised design it useful industry tool since small size dip promises massive experiment also showed functionalising zone act way mimic potential substrates cleaning.
