摘要: We studied discrimination of changes in eye position, mouth and colour at viewing durations ranging from 1 second to unlimited time. With upright faces, perception was rapid did not improve above 2 seconds Face inversion impaired position significantly, slightly, but colour. The 'inversion effect' for decreased with increasing stimulus duration, disappeared when the subject knew that only change a trial position. A subsequent experiment showed impairment region specific spatial affected lesser degree. When made more salient by frequency trials, effect decreased, correlated an increase conclude dominant face upon is less facial regions, this lessens time, it affects both features their relations, though on latter greater. These results are consistent greater dependence serial component search strategy inverted faces.
