摘要: The habitat and diet variation of the common carp (Cyprinus carpio) were studied in Lake Banyoles (Catalonia, Spain). Carp was second most abundant species offshore used more littoral spring deep bottoms winter. based on detritus, amphipods (Echinogammarus sp.), phantom midge larvae (Chaoborus flavicans), diatom mucilages, plant debris. Amphipods much important than previous studies found, because their greater availability this lake. Among inhabiting waters, there size-dependent diet, with smaller selecting meiobenthos (cladocerans, ostracods, small chironomids) larger preying profundal macrobenthos (phantom large chironomids). Roach (Rutilus rutilus) dominated abundance non-littoral zone lake showed resource partitioning, roach being a efficient zooplanktivore able to prey hard material (plant seeds, mollusks, ostracods).
