摘要: Abstract Objective Surgical site infection (SSI) following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is a serious complication associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Despite the substantial impact of SSI there lack specific risk stratification tool to predict this after CABG. This study was undertaken develop prognostic scoring system for development that could risk-stratify patients undergoing Methods Between January 2009 June 2012, continuous prospective surveillance data on set 41 variables were collected. Using binary logistic regression analysis we identified independent predictors SSI. Initially developed predictive model in subset 769 patients. Dataset expanded 4087 cases final score derived. Calibration scores performed using Hosmer–Lemeshow test. Results The had area under Receiver Operating Characteristic curve 0.727 (0.827 preliminary dataset). Baseline incorporated SSI: female gender = 2 (p  7.5% = 3 Conclusion BHIS effectively predicts may help relation public reporting reimbursement as well targeted prevention strategies
