Effect of the feeding mode of cross-linker and microcapsule on the corrosion resistance and hydrophobicity of composite coatings

摘要: Abstract The interface combination of anti-corrosive materials and polymer matrix has a significant effect on the overall performance composite coating. However, past research focused blending to improve matrix. Herein, we proposed layer-by-layer spray-coating process further enhance reinforcing by changing their feeding modes. In this paper, taking waterborne polyacrylate (WPA) as an example, two kinds reinforcement commonly used corrosion resistance were introduced into coating system then applied tinplate: cross-linker microcapsule. Firstly, five types WPA systems designed according mode aziridine position benzotriazole@zinc oxide microcapsules (BTA@ZnO MCs). Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) electrical equivalent circuits evaluate these analyze electrochemical processes. By spraying mixture crosslinker bottom layer BTA@ZnO MCs top layer, resulting exhibited higher hydrophobic properties. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) contact angle tests indicated that played important roles in compactness hydrophobicity Subsequently, effects amount physical properties analyzed EIS, water absorption test, test atomic force microscopy (AFM). improvement was mainly attributed synergistic highly cross-linked network structure superhydrophobic surface.
